Two more people are now in custody related to a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals sustained injuries by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, as stated by police.
A 24-year-old man, was arrested in the Lambeth area for suspected robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. They both remain in custody, the force said.
The arrests follow a probe into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the attack, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their luggage upon exiting a parking garage elevator.
A three-year-old girl was one of the injured in the event. Five people were taken to the hospital for treatment and have since been released.
Police arrested a man in his thirties on suspicion of robbery and assault close to the location. He has since been released under investigation while inquiries continue.
Authorities were called at approximately 08:10 GMT following reports of several individuals hurt by an irritating chemical believed to be pepper spray.
The attack - which authorities stated was a standalone incident and not considered an act of terror - caused train delays and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park briefly.
